GATE CHANGES
While we were on track with the gate implementation to happen this weekend, sadly, it will not. This past Monday, a long semi tractor trailer driver hit the gate and column, drove up over the curb in the middle and hit the electrical component box in the center island. This shorted out the new gate call box, the gate motor and several cameras.
We have ordered a new call box, but we all know how long it took to get this first one, we do not know how long it will take to get the new one.
That said, perhaps it was a blessing in disguise. We had asked everyone to fill out the form on the website with your FOB and card numbers. We heard from 64 owners/residents, which means the other half will be without gate access. Please note that your current fobs and cards will work only if you register them.
Action Plan
- We have enabled the form on the website so those owners/residents who did NOT fill it out, have a chance to do so now. We are still going to put a time limit on it as the new entries have to be input into the gate system so they have access when it finally goes live.
- The appointments for RFID stickers this Saturday is cancelled. We will be establishing 2 dates in August when residents can pick up the stickers with the Management company.
- Once the new call box is installed (again), we will notify everyone and establish a launch date of operation.
MANAGEMENT COMPANY CHANGE
The board has elected to replace our current management company, Alliant, with Compass Rose. Compass Rose is working with Alliant to gather all of the accounting, data and other items to insure a smooth transition effective August 1, 2023.
Action Plan
- Compass Rose will be contacting all of you on the new payment portal and how to access. In the meantime, if you have any outstanding payments, continue using Comweb until you are notified of the change
NEW GOVERNING DOCS
The Board has spent this last year reviewing the old docs, making changes, etc. They are finally ready for your review and will be posted on www.eaglepointecircle.org.
Action Plan
- Owners will have 2 weeks to read the new governing docs
- A Town Hall will be held at our next meeting on July 25th, where owners will be able to ask questions pertaining to the new documents. Our attorney and representative from the Management company will be answering the majority of the questions.
- There will be a period of 2 weeks to follow where changes will be made according to Owner input
- The final draft will be up for a vote from the owners (date tbd)
ALTERNATIVE COMMUNICATION
Since there is a variety of communication issues in reaching everyone and given the fact that we are changing Management companies, you will be receiving emails from time to time from MAILCHIMP. It may go to spam, so please be on the lookout for it.
We realize changes may be upsetting but we ask you to embrace the change! Most of you will take it in stride and do what is asked of you.
For those of you who might want to complain and grumble, I would ask “How much time are you volunteering to help the neighborhood?” The board is a volunteer board and we have spent countless hours working to get this community in shape. With everything we’ve dealt with over the last year, I would ask that you all show us a little grace.
Respectfully,
Your board.
