Hello, and welcome to Eagle Pointe!
I’m Ed Moore, your President. You’ve probably seen me walking my dogs, Sydnie and Bristo or noticed my mug on the sign at the gate as you are leaving. Feel free to stop and chat with me when you see me. My dogs won’t bite, nor do I. LOL!
I’ve lived on Eagle Pointe for 28 years now. My wife and I raised 2 sons, dogs and cats. As a matter of fact, many of you walk your dogs past my place and Socks, the orange and white cat, nuzzles most dogs. He’s kind of made himself “King of the Road”. Believe me, we’ve had discussions about that!
What should you expect from Ed Moore?
Solutions.
I am a solution oriented person. You are more than welcome to come to me with a problem or issue…as long as it is accompanied by a solution. Even if it’s not the solution we ultimately settle on, it can be an idea starter. The board is just 3 people and we realize we don’t have all the answers. We rely on the 124 homeowners that live here, for your ideas and input. Isn’t that what a neighborhood is all about?
Integrity.
If I make a mistake, I’ll let you know I screwed up. I won’t hide it or try and sweep it under the rug. You deserve honesty from me, and you’ll get it. Sometimes you may not like it, but there it is.
Communication.
I am working hard to establish a good communication flow with the owners. Most of you complained about the ComWeb portal and asked why we couldn’t have an ‘easy’ website. I listened. Here it is. 🙂
Expect to see multiple surveys. We need to know what you think. We need to know what you think about the pool, the gates, the landscaping…even neighborhood events. So expect to see them come out and please respond. If we don’t know what you want or what you’re thinking, we can’t possibly offer it to you. In other words, participate.
Multitasking.
I can drive some people nuts with my planning and organizing. Just ask those who serve on the board with me! Even though we may have a project in the making on the gates, I see no reason, while we are waiting on product, why we shouldn’t jump in and start planning something else. I like to keep something moving even when other things may be stalled.
My Vision.
My vision is to have a vibrant, bustling neighborhood where neighbors are friendly, helpful and fun! I expect us to raise property values by taking Eagle Pointe out of the Lower Middle Class to at least Middle Class. We can do it if we all just pitch in where we can, vote for things that make our lives better and smile at our neighbors. Often.
That’s all I’ve got for now. It is a pleasure serving on the Board as your President. I hope to chat with you soon!
~Ed.
